Lee Stream School pupils discover wool uses beyond the farm

One of New Zealand’s smallest schools has put Campaign for Wool NZ’s Wool in Schools programme to the test.

Lee Stream School, near Dunedin, has just 12 pupils on its roll – they all fit inside the programme’s Wool Shed container at the same time.

Principal Kate Martin said the two-week visit was a valuable addition to the school’s Term 3 wool inquiry.

“I don’t imagine there are too many other schools that could fit their entire roll inside a Wool in Schools container,” she said.
